To raise money for Lady Ridge Hospital in Colombo, we conducted a simple but fun and quick raffle ticket sale at a birthday party in our Sri Lankan community. After refreshments and cake, the festivities began with our members singing a few fun songs and dances to get the crowd excited. The winner of the raffle would receive a large gift basket that included crowd pleasers such as wine, chocolate, a Stanley cup, a flower pot, etc. Not only did we raise awareness for our organization’s cause, but we also raised over $250 in total! We would like to thank everyone who supported our fundraiser.
