Hi! I’m Sawani, a senior at Campbell High School in the International Baccalaureate (IB) program. Outside of school, I enjoy photography, dancing and reading. In school, I serve as President of Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA), Creative Director of HOSA- Future Health Professionals, and Co-Captian of Jhalak Bollywood dance team. Through these roles, I’ve had the chance to grow as a leader and learn how to make an impact. I’m passionate about pursuing a career in healthcare, though I’m not settled on anything specific yet. I hope to continue shaping my goals and passions through the work we do in our organization.

Hello! My name is Omandee Karunanayake and I am a senior at Chamblee High School. I love theater, running, and playing my guitar. I am the Vocal Coach and Cast Captain of the Chamblee Onstage Musical Theater program and Vice President of Thespian Troupe 8329. I love helping others and am interested in healthcare, participating in HOSA, volunteering at my local hospital, being an active member in National Honors Society, and performing as secretary of our school’s National Beta Club. As a Sri Lankan myself, I’m proud to be part of Light4Lanka and its my mission to give back and create lasting impact for communities back home.

Hi, my name is Shoela Ettampola and I’m going to be a rising senior at Dunwoody High School this fall. I’m currently the president of DECA and 21st Century Leaders at my school and I’m also a team leader at my church. Through the leadership skills I’ve gained in my activities, I’m ready to focus my efforts in improving the lives of the future generations of Sri Lankans. I’m a strong believer in giving people access to all opportunities no matter their background, and through the start of Light for Lanka, I intend to do just that.
